Working With Robin

This was the first and perhaps the last time a comedian played the Metropolitan Opera House in NY.

Robin, one guy with a standup routine, out there on a 10,000 square foot stage, facing five levels of balconies and an audience of 4,000. Robin was in great form and was able to command the house.

In prep for the show, my AD, Linda Mendoza, and I followed Robin around the country as he finessed the show at various gigs. We soon discovered that the routine was finely sequenced and carefully constructed, but that didn’t stop him from adding brilliant ad-libs. At the top of the show, two people arrive late…and off he goes.

Check it out and enjoy.
